Hello friends! I’m Kaija, the artist behind Greenfinch Studio, Design by Kaija Lea, and Pixlberry. I’m a midwestern small-town girl who loves crafting, designing, creating unique jewelry… and to be honest, I’m just a little bit of a geek…

I have grown up with an obsession over animated movies and cartoons, I LOVE listening to any sort of music (especially soundtracks), and I’ve logged in literally thousands of hours playing video games in my 28 years of existence! (It’s really fun to bring out the old-school 8-bit Nintendo, but XBOX 360 is my current favorite) Also, as another tier to my nerdiness, I play soprano/alto recorder, classical bassoon, jazz saxophone, and I am slowly learning to sing and play the piano.

When I’m not perfecting my golf swing on the Wii, out singing bad karaoke, or working my day job as a corporate in-house Graphic Designer for Scheels All Sports, I spend my weekends creating whatever I can – crafts, jewelry, paintings, new music compositions, blogs, youtube vlogs… the list goes on forever! I especially love designing jewelry though, so my main hobby is Greenfinch Studio. I am addicted to shopping at flea markets, thrift shops, ebay, etsy, garage sales, you name it! I love searching for the cool, original, truly vintage pieces to make into collages;)
