Good morning and happy Friday! Just a note- my etsy shop will be empty until next Sunday, February 26th, due to the upcoming craft show!:) If you are in the FM area on the 25th, come check out the Unglued Craft Fest FREE at the Plains Art museum, open all day 8-5! Long time no see- is it already the middle of AUGUST?! Wow 2011 is flying by, am I right? Well I have good news! Finally, I have my new website up (and fully functioning!), and I am getting new posts ready as we speak. Sorry for the wait; I guess I was a little more busy than I thought I would be this summer… Hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of sunshine, hammocks, picnics, and bike rides. Within a few months, we will be longing for the sunny warm days like these… whew, it seems like it was just April a few weeks ago!

Hello and welcome to my new official blogsite for Greenfinch Studio! My name is Kaija Lea, and I’m the artist, creating jewelry and crafts in my tiny apartment while watching Netflix:) Here you will find things that keep me inspired to create, learn, and grow as a designer, and I will try and post news and updates on new crafting ventures at least once a week.

Making jewelry is my passion, and knowing that even just one person out there enjoys my work makes me super happy and keeps me going! My mission is to find and collect unique vintage jewelry pieces and breathe new life into them as stylish, eco-friendly fashion statements. I love making those special trips to flea markets, antique shops, thrift stores, and garage sales to find that next hidden treasure!
